Built for your Mac

A recording and editing studio in one app

Capture locally, shape the edit on a layered timeline, create captions with Apple's on-device speech tools, and export files for the places you publish. A LumaTake account is required after installation.

Voice, captions, and teleprompter

Clean and balance voice audio, generate editable captions with on-device speech recognition, and present with timed scrolling or voice follow.

Camera angles and cinematic motion

Choose a main camera and up to two compatible extra cameras. Cut between real or virtual camera shots, then add keyframes and speed ramps.

Titles, beats, and flexible export

Add 28 title templates and align edits with locally detected beats. Batch export H.264, HEVC, ProRes 422, or GIF files, with separate SRT/VTT caption import and export.

The deal

What you get for testing early

A private beta is a trade. You put LumaTake through real work and tell us what breaks; we make sure it's worth your time.

20% off any plan

Test everything for three days. When it ends, you get 20% off any plan — weekly, monthly, or yearly — as our thanks for helping us build it.

A direct line to the team

Bug reports and feature requests go straight to the people building LumaTake, not a ticket queue. We read every reply.

A say in the roadmap

The rough edges you flag and the features you push on are the ones we prioritize first. Early testers shape what 1.0 becomes.

How the beta works

From request to 20% off, in three steps

01

Request access

Fill out the short form below. We review new testers in small batches, usually within a few days.

02

Get your build

We send a TestFlight invite from this address. Install the build from TestFlight, then create or sign in to your required LumaTake account with Continue with Apple or Continue with Google.

03

Test, report, save 20%

Put LumaTake through real work for three days and send bugs or ideas in-app or by reply. When the test ends, you get 20% off any plan.

Early access

Request your beta invite

A small group of Mac creators is testing LumaTake before launch. Tell us where to send your build — it takes about thirty seconds.

  • 20% off any plan after your 3-day test
  • Compatible Mac running macOS 26 or later
  • Installs through Apple's TestFlight
  • Local recordings; you choose when to share
  • No spam — just your invite and the occasional build update

We send one email to confirm your address, then write only about LumaTake's launch and early access. Joining the list does not create an account. A LumaTake account is required to use the app. Read our Privacy Policy.

Before you sign up

Beta questions, answered

When does the beta start?

Invites are going out now, in batches. Once you're approved you'll get your build the same day.

Is it stable enough for real work?

It's a beta, so expect the occasional rough edge. The capture, editor, and export pipeline are already the core of the shipping app — but keep your own copy of anything critical.

Will my recordings stay private?

Recording and editing use local files. The beta requires a LumaTake account, and account or connected-service requests use the network. Livestreaming sends media to the destination you choose. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Does requesting an invite create my account?

No. The form only requests beta access. After you install the app, Continue with Apple or Continue with Google creates your required LumaTake account the first time you sign in.

What do testers get?

After your 3-day test, you get 20% off any plan — weekly, monthly, or yearly. That's our thank-you for helping shape it.
