Is there a free version or trial?
No. LumaTake is paid from day one — there's no free tier and no trial. One subscription unlocks every feature.
Do beta testers get a discount?
Yes. After the 3-day beta testing period ends, testers get 20% off any billing option — weekly, monthly, or yearly — as a thank-you.
Do I need an account?
No. LumaTake has no account of its own and runs fully offline. Your subscription is handled through your Apple Account, and nothing you record touches the cloud.
What happens to my recordings if I stop paying?
They stay yours. Recordings are plain files in ~/Movies/LumaTake/
and never expire. An active subscription is only needed to keep recording and editing.
Which billing option should I pick?
Weekly to try the workflow, monthly for flexibility, or yearly for the best price at just $5/month — a 37% saving versus monthly.
How do I restore my subscription or cancel?
Use Restore Purchases with your Apple Account — there are no license keys. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled, and you can manage or cancel anytime in App Store settings.
Will the price go up?
This is launch pricing. Your launch price stays unchanged while your subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and resubscribe later, you may move to the current price.
